Zallys walk-behind electric tuggers and movers
Battery-powered walk-behind tuggers that push and pull carts, roll cages, trailers and die carts, from 1,000 kg (2,200 lb) up to 30,000 kg (66,100 lb). One operator, no manual pushing.
Key features
Why plants choose Zallys tuggers
Five speed levels
Flex-to-go speed control steps through five levels, from 20% to full speed: slow for tight maneuvers, faster on straight runs.
Safety on the tiller
Maintained-action travel controls, an anti-crushing safety button and a horn on the tillerhead. An LED display shows battery charge and set speed.
Electric brake
On models such as the M6.5, M10 and M20, an electric brake engages whenever the machine has no power.
Maintenance-free batteries
Sealed AGM batteries. Larger models run about 8 hours of continuous use; M1 and M16 packs swap out for multi-shift work.
Hooks and ballast
Standard or custom hooks fit your carts. Modular ballast adds traction and can be added or removed by hand, without lifting equipment.
ATEX and IECEx on request
The M5, M6.5 and M10 are also available in ATEX and IECEx versions for hazardous areas.

How it works
What a walk-behind electric tugger does
A walk-behind electric tugger hooks onto a wheeled load and moves it under battery power. The operator walks with the machine and steers with a tiller, so one person can move carts, trailers or rows of carts that would otherwise need several people or a forklift.
The Zallys Tow range runs from the M1 vertical pusher for roll cages to the M20, rated for 30,000 kg (66,100 lb). The M16 and M18 add a hydraulic arm that lifts the drawbar of two-wheel trailers before towing. Ratings refer to a flat surface and vary with floor, ballast and wheels.

Zallys Tow: frequently asked questions
How much can a Zallys walk-behind tugger tow?
Towing capacity ranges from 1,000 kg (2,200 lb) with the M1 to 30,000 kg (66,100 lb) with the M20. Ratings refer to a flat surface. Real capacity depends on floor type, slope, ballast and the wheels on your cart, so Prella checks these before recommending a model.
What are the M16 and M18 used for?
They are built for two-wheel trailers and carts that must be lifted on one side before they can move. A hydraulic arm, run from the tillerhead, raises the drawbar: up to 1,800 kg (3,970 lb) on the M16 and 8,000 kg (17,600 lb) on the M18. Then the tug tows the load.
How long does a tugger battery last?
Zallys states about 8 working hours of continuous use for models such as the M6.5, M10, M18 and M20, on sealed, maintenance-free AGM batteries. The M1 and M16 use interchangeable packs, so a charged spare keeps the machine running across shifts. The external charger works on 110 V or 220 V.
Can a walk-behind tugger handle ramps?
Yes, within limits. Each Zallys data sheet lists a maximum slope: 15% for the M1, M9, M10 and M20, and 20% for the M4 and M5. Pneumatic wheels on models such as the M6.5 and M10 suit outdoor routes. Tell Prella about your ramps and floors and we will size the tugger.
