Electric tuggers, tow tractors and transporters for US plants
An electric tugger lets one operator move carts, trailers and heavy wheeled loads that would otherwise need several people or a forklift. Zallys builds walk-behind tuggers from the compact M1 for roll cages to the M20, which moves up to 30,000 kg (66,100 lb). The M16 and M18 add a hydraulic lift to raise the drawbar of two-wheel trailers. Electric transporters such as the JESPI platform truck, HS4 trolley and M8 bar carrier haul tools, molds and long stock. Ride-on models like the K4 tow tractor and S1 build simple tugger trains for lean production. All run on batteries, with zero emissions and low noise indoors.
Zallys controls are designed around the operator. Tiller-mounted buttons, five speed levels on many models, deadman sensors and electric brakes that engage when power is off keep moves safe in busy aisles. Many models run on sealed, maintenance-free AGM batteries. Accessories such as tow hitches, load platforms, skips and modular ballasts adapt one machine to several jobs. Zallys: frequently asked questions
What is the difference between an electric tugger and a tow tractor?
An electric tugger is usually walk-behind: the operator steers it with a tiller while it pushes or pulls carts, like the Zallys M-series. A tow tractor carries the operator on board, like the K4 or S1, which suits longer routes and tugger trains. Prella helps you choose based on load, distance and space.
How much can a Zallys tugger move?
Towing capacity ranges from 1,000 kg (2,200 lb) with the M1 to 30,000 kg (66,100 lb) with the M20. The M16 and M18 also lift two-wheel trailer drawbars, up to 1,800 kg (3,970 lb) and 8,000 kg (17,600 lb). Real capacity depends on floor, slope and wheels.
Can Zallys vehicles work on ramps?
Yes. Most Zallys models handle slopes, and each data sheet lists a maximum slope. Examples: 15% for the M1, M9 and M20, 20% for the M4 and M5, and 30% for JESPI, TR30, DUMPER-JET and HS4 transporters. Prella checks your ramps and floors before recommending a model.
How long does a battery charge last?
It depends on model and duty cycle. Zallys states up to 8 hours of continuous use for models such as the JESPI, K3 and S1, which run on sealed, maintenance-free AGM batteries. Prella can size the battery setup for your shift pattern and recommend a charging routine.
