Zallys ride-on tow tractors and people carriers
Battery-powered vehicles that carry one operator across warehouses and plants while towing carts. Speeds up to 12 km/h (7.5 mph), towing up to 2,500 kg (5,500 lb), about 8 hours per charge.
Key features
Why choose a Zallys ride-on vehicle
Up to 12 km/h (7.5 mph)
K3, JACK and S1 reach 12 km/h (7.5 mph) for fast trips; the K4 tops out at 6.5 km/h (4.0 mph) for towing.
Five speed levels
Flex-to-go speed control steps from 20% to full speed: slow for crowded aisles, faster on long straight runs.
Operator presence and brakes
Deadman pedal or seat sensor, depending on model, plus a mechanical brake pedal for emergencies. K3, JACK and S1 add an electronic brake lever.
Full-day batteries
Sealed, maintenance-free AGM batteries deliver up to 8 hours of continuous use. The external charger works on 110 V or 220 V.
Fits freight elevators
The K3 and K4 are compact enough to ride inside freight elevators, with turning diameters of 2.10 m (6.9 ft) and 2.80 m (9.2 ft).
ATEX and IECEx on request
JACK and S1 can be converted and certified for ATEX and IECEx by specialized bodies, for potentially explosive areas.

How it works
What a man-on-board electric vehicle does
Man-on-board vehicles carry the operator, standing or seated, so long trips across a warehouse or plant take less time and effort. The same machine tows carts, which makes it a simple base for milk runs and lean tugger trains.
The Zallys range has four models. The K3 is a fast people carrier, the K4 a compact three-wheel tow tractor, and the JACK and S1 combine towing with a 500 kg (1,100 lb) load capacity. Some models can be certified ATEX and IECEx.

Zallys Man-on-board: frequently asked questions
Which Zallys model is best for a tugger train?
The K4 is built for horizontal transport and lean production: it tows up to 2,500 kg (5,500 lb) at up to 6.5 km/h (4.0 mph) and is compact enough for freight elevators. For lighter trains at higher speed, the JACK and S1 tow 1,500 kg (3,300 lb) at up to 12 km/h (7.5 mph).
Does the operator sit or stand?
It depends on the model. The K3 is a stand-on carrier with a two-pedal platform, and the K4 is also driven standing, with a shoulder rest. The S1 has an ergonomic seat with a pressure sensor, so it only runs with the operator seated. The JACK uses a low platform for quick getting on and off.
Can these vehicles work in hazardous areas?
Some can. Zallys states that the JACK and S1 can be converted and certified to ATEX and IECEx for potentially explosive atmospheres, with the work done by specialized certification bodies. Zone ratings are confirmed per project. Tell Prella your area classification and we will check what is possible.
How long does a charge last?
Zallys states up to 8 working hours of continuous use for all four models, on sealed, maintenance-free AGM batteries. The external high-frequency charger runs on 110 V or 220 V. The K4 batteries are interchangeable, and the K3 and K4 sound an alert when the charge runs low.
