About Raniero
Italian heavy-duty forklifts since 1967
Raniero was founded in 1967 by Aldo and Luigi Baron in Italy. The company started with internal combustion trucks and moved step by step into AC electric technology. Today it builds a complete AC electric range from 5 t to 33 t at a 1,200 mm (47 in) load center.
Each truck is configured around the job: load size, lift height, working hours, aisle limits and attachments. Raniero designs and builds its own masts, fork carriages, integral sideshifters and fork positioners. Prella handles quotes, delivery, start-up and service in North America.

Heavy-duty electric forklifts that replace diesel and LPG
Raniero builds heavy-duty AC electric forklifts for jobs that used to need diesel or LPG trucks. The range runs from 5 t (11,000 lb) to 33 t (72,800 lb) and works indoors and outdoors, in rain, snow, dust, freezing temperatures or near heat sources. Compared with internal combustion trucks, Raniero reports up to 70% less maintenance, lower energy costs, longer service intervals, zero emissions and less noise and vibration. Each truck can run on lead-acid batteries for long shifts or lithium (LiFePO4) batteries for opportunity charging. Options include TGV or Magnifica cabs, fingertip controls, cameras, pedestrian detection and remote monitoring.

Raniero: frequently asked questions
Can a Raniero electric forklift work outdoors?
Yes. Raniero states that its electric forklifts can work anywhere an internal combustion forklift works: in clean indoor areas or outdoors with dust, dirt, rain, snow, freezing temperatures or heat sources. They also move across regular and uneven ground. Tires, cab and lighting are configured for your site.
Lead-acid or lithium batteries: which should I choose?
Both are available. Lead-acid is economical and suits long shifts with high autonomy. Lithium (LiFePO4) allows opportunity charging and needs no maintenance. The choice depends on required runtime and available charging windows. You can also use your own battery supplier after a compatibility check of the battery compartment.
What power supply do I need for charging in the US?
You need a three-phase power line at the charging area. In North America this is typically 440 V or 480 V, as noted by Raniero. Your battery and charger supplier confirms the details, and the truck can be fitted with the charging plug you plan to use.
How are service and spare parts handled?
Every Raniero forklift can be monitored and reprogrammed remotely with Raniero Software, so technicians can diagnose issues from a distance. Parts ship from the factory warehouse, with same-day shipping for orders confirmed before 11:00 AM (Italy time) and delivery in about 24–72 hours. Prella coordinates service and parts in North America.
