Morello ±90° steering pallet trucks and carts
Battery-powered heavy-duty pallet trucks and compact carts whose front axle turns ±90°. A tight turning radius, a low loading height and no crane needed, for loads up to 100 t (220,500 lb).
Key features
Why plants choose ±90° steering
Small turning radius
The front axle turns ±90° and the cart pivots around the center of its rear axle, so it fits tighter aisles.
Compact and cost-effective
Morello positions ±90° between standard steering and OMNI on cost, a good fit when budget or machine size is limited.
No crane needed
The pallet truck slides under a steel pallet or blocks, lifts the load and moves it anywhere in the plant.
Power steering, remote control
All units have motorized steering. Choose a control tiller, pendant panel, radio remote or footplate.
Lead-acid or lithium
Lead-acid batteries as standard, lithium as an option. Lithium batteries accept opportunity charging during breaks.
AGV and Ex options
Any cart can be upgraded to an AGV. ATEX, IECEx and NEC 500 versions are available for hazardous areas.
Configurations
±90° configurations
Two-fork pallet trucks
Forks slide under a steel pallet or support structure, lift the load and carry it at floor level. Fork length and width are built to the load.
More info
Single loading bed
One wide, ultra-low bed instead of forks, for large steel pallets and machinery. The bed lifts the pallet and moves it to the next station.
More info
Stone and slab handling
Low-bed pallet trucks with A-frame racks move marble blocks and natural stone slabs between saws, storage and shipping.

Ex-rated flatbed carts
Compact ±90° flatbed carts built for explosive atmospheres, such as FPSO and FLNG vessels, refineries and paint booths.

How it works
What ±90° steering means on a Morello cart
On a ±90° cart the front axle can rotate up to 90° in either direction. The center of rotation sits in the middle of the rear axle, so the vehicle turns in a much smaller radius than with conventional front-axle steering. A typical model is the SGAE ±90° P 25/2: 25 t capacity, 3000 × 1600 mm deck, up to 30 m/min with full load, about 5 km of battery autonomy and a 2473 mm turning radius.
Morello places this option between standard steering and OMNI, both in cost and in turning radius. It is the steering used on Morello heavy-duty electric pallet trucks, and it suits compact machines, one-way AGVs and jobs where budget matters. If you need sideways or diagonal travel, look at OMNI instead.

Steering ±90°: frequently asked questions
What does ±90° steering mean on a Morello cart?
The front axle can rotate up to 90° to the left or right. The center of rotation is then in the middle of the rear axle, which gives a much smaller turning radius than standard front-axle steering. Morello uses it mainly on heavy-duty electric pallet trucks and compact carts.
Can a ±90° cart move sideways?
No. A ±90° cart turns tightly around its rear axle, but it does not travel sideways or diagonally. For lateral, diagonal or carousel moves, Morello offers OMNI omnidirectional carts, where every wheel unit steers on its own. Prella can help you compare both for your layout.
How much can a Morello electric pallet truck lift?
Morello builds heavy-duty electric pallet trucks from 1 t up to 100 t (220,500 lb). The standard lifting stroke is 50 to 100 mm (2 to 4 in), with other strokes on request. Forks or a single bed are sized to your pallets or supports.
Can a ±90° pallet truck be automated?
Yes. Any Morello cart can be upgraded to an AGV, from a single automated pallet truck to a full fleet with its management system. Ex-rated versions to ATEX, IECEx and NEC 500 are also available for hazardous areas such as refineries and paint booths.
