What is a Morello OMNI multidirectional cart?
OMNI is a battery-powered, self-propelled modular cart from Morello. AC brushless motors drive and steer each wheel unit, so the cart can travel sideways, diagonally, steer front or rear, turn 360° on a carousel or around any chosen point while carrying heavy loads in confined spaces.
How much weight can an OMNI cart carry?
OMNI carts are configured from 1 up to 1,000 metric tons per cart, which is about 2,200 to 2,200,000 lb. Deck size and capacity are set on your load.
How fast does OMNI travel and how far can it go on one charge?
Standard speed is 20–30 m/min (about 0.7 to 1.1 mph), up to 3.7 mph (6 km/h) on request, and battery range goes from about 0.9 to over 9.3 miles (1.5 to over 15 km), depending on load, battery type and configuration. Gradeability goes from 2% to over 20%.
Can OMNI load itself without a crane?
Yes. OMNI can be supplied with a self-loading lifting deck with a stroke from 2 inches (50 mm), so it slides under the load, lifts it and moves it without a crane.
Is OMNI available as an AGV or for hazardous areas?
Yes. Options include AGV automated guidance, Industry 4.0 connectivity, an integrated remote assistance panel and explosion-proof ATEX/IECEx configurations for Zone 1 and Zone 2.
